Get your game plan ready, the dating Superbowl is here!

Dating Sunday: Your best chance of finding a date this year.

If you're single and open to meeting someone new, you might want to mark your calendars for the first Sunday of the year. Dubbed "Dating Sunday," this day has traditionally seen a huge increase in activity on online dating sites and apps.

According to data from Match.com, this year saw a 25% increase in likes and a whopping 30% increase in matches and conversations compared to an average Sunday. There was also a 30% increase in "get-togethers," or exchanges of phone numbers, which suggests that people are taking things off the app and into the real world.

But when is the best time to be online to maximise your chances of finding love?

The data shows that activity peaks between 7-10 pm, so you'll want to make sure beforehand that your profile is looking its best. (We have some tips here to help you with that.)

Polish up your profile.

To stand out from the crowd, it's important to have a high-quality profile. Match.com data shows that profiles with good photos and well-written descriptions receive 20% more engagement than lower-quality profiles. So take the time to put your best foot forward and show off your unique personality and interests. Ask a friend to help you take some authentic photos of yourself. (View our tips here.)
